Top names set to move in to new met quarter centreLiverpool’s new Met Quarter centre is taking shape in front of
people’s eyes. Shops and offices around the site in Victoria Street
have a grandstand view of the construction work.
The £75m centre is due to open in February next year. A whole host
of top names have already signed up with developer Milligan to take up
stores in the new unit, many opening up for the first time in Liverpool.
They include Flannels, Hobbs, All Saints, Mikey, Aspecto, Gieves &
Hawkes, Cafouge, Timberland, Animal, Armani and Hugo Boss.
So far, 60% of floor space at the 120,000 sq ft arcade, which contains
46 retail units, has been let. Milligan bought the Victorian post office
site, which stood derelict for around 20 years, from the Walton Group
last year.
