Liverpool’s Metquarter Almost FullLiverpool’s Metquarter now has only four units left to let following its opening in March.
The remaining units have “names against all of them”, according to letting agent Markham Vaughan Gillingham (MVG). They are unlikely to be occupied by branded retailers, with Firetrap and Diesel understood to be interested.
MVG director of retail development and leasing Nigel Gillingham said the centre has been trading substantially ahead of expectations since it opened.
“We are hitting £120 to £125 Zone A,” he said. “We’re probably getting about 25 per cent above our base rents now. We’ve even got a retailer that is trading at £1,000 per sq ft. It’s just a shame that there isn’t a second phase to this one.”
