Maremagnum works on it's two hour holiday conceptMilligan and Denton Developments are beginning to see their vision for
Maremagnum, Barcelona take shape. The waterfront centre, well known by
locals and visitors, is under-going a transformation based on changes
in design, marketing and tenant mix.
Eleven new fashion and food tenants, including Adolfo Dominguez, Cortefiel
Group and Mango, have signed up to the centre, which brings the project
closer to its new target audience of 20 to 35-year-olds.
In addition to upgrading and remodelling areas of the centre, Milligan/Denton
backed by Credit Suisse/First Boston and the General Property Investment
Company is placing great emphasis on repositioning it in the hearts and
minds of Barcelonans. “We want Maremagnum to be the first choice
to spend a two-hour holiday, any day, in Barcelona,” said Fraser
Denton of Denton Developments.
Denton’s reference to “any day” is significant: unlike
most of Spain, Maremagnum opens on Sundays.
